Ionamin is destined to that class of overweight patients with an associated health condition such as high cholesterol or blood pressure, diabetes and other life endangering disorders.

Directions of using Ionamin:

Available with prescription only, Ionamin is dosed by the doctor considering personal health profile and has determined few weeks action interval. Once the interval ends, Ionamin intake is no longer recommended. Taking more than indicated dose of the drug not only increases side effects and addiction on Ionamin, but it will leave drug effectiveness unchanged.

Usually, doctors prescribe 1 capsule/tablet of Ionamin within the first two hours after breakfast. There are patients who are prescribed with only half of Ionamin tablet/capsule a day or each half of the tablet/capsule separately twice a day. Such coordinates depend exclusively on patient’s profile and doctor’s consideration on Ionamin most efficient results.

If a dose is missed, it should be skipped until the next is due. However, it is advisable to take Ionamin every day at the same hour, in order to avoid skipping doses and decreasing treatment effectiveness. Overdosing Ionamin may lead to severe health complications and includes symptoms like painful cramps in the abdominal area, hallucinations, flushing and abnormal heart rate. In case of overdose, medical help is urgently needed.

Contraindications to Ionamin:

Patients with any type of allergic reaction to any of Ionamin ingredients and patients suffering from artery hardening or thyroid and blood vessels disorders should not take it.
Glaucoma and eye disorders and oscillatory blood pressure associated with Ionamin may lead to serious health complications. MAO inhibitors, antidepressants and drug abuse are elements that may also involve avoiding Ionamin.

Ionamin effects may be influenced when associated with alcohol consumption, leading to health risks. In addition, combining Ionamin with fenfluramine (weight-loss medication) is unadvisable, as it may induce severe adverse reactions. Antidepressants, diabetes drugs and medication treating high blood pressure should be associated with Ionamin with doctor’s permission only.

Ionamin's Side effects:

Commonly reported are decrease of sexual appetite, upset stomach, flushing, oscillatory blood pressure, erectile dysfunction, abnormal heart rate, insomnia and sleep disturbances, tremor, dry mouth or sudden oscillation between depression and ecstasy.
A state of tiredness may install after Ionamin therapy. In case of other disturbing and persisting symptoms, medical care and/or ending the treatment with Ionamin is recommended.
