Patient Information:
Condylox is used in the treatment of external genital and
around the
anus warts and available as antimitotic gel.
It is important to take Condylox as doctor prescribed it.
Directions of using Condylox:
Generally, the gel is applied directly on warts with the help of the
applicator tip or using the finger, in case it is considered easier.
Hands should be cleansed before and immediately after applying the gel.
A small amount of Condylox is enough to offer optimum results
if
correctly used. If the wart is on a skin fold, stretch the skin apart
to be able to apply Condylox directly on the wart in order to
be
effective. The skin should remain stretched until the gel becomes
completely dry.
Condylox gel must not be used under any circumstance on
healthy skin, unless it features wart like symptoms. In case of missing
a dose of Condylox, it is indicated to take it as soon as
possible,
unless the next dose is due within shortly. In this case the missed
dose should be skipped completely and the treatment continued normally.
Contraindications to Condylox:
Condylox is contraindicated in patients allergic to any of its ingredients and to pregnant and breastfeeding women. Even though not clinically proven yet, Condylox may also feature drug interactions, which can alter its effectiveness. Therefore, it is important to let the doctor know about all the other medication recently or presently taken.
Condylox's Side-effects:
Condylox may also induce certain adverse reaction not
experienced by
all patients using it. Some of these reactions are rather common and
mild and caused by the body adjustment to the treatment, while others
may require urgent medical help and stopping the treatment.
Mild side effects to Condylox include inflammation, irritation,
mild burning and stinging sensation and headache. Uncommonly reported severe
symptoms are allergies, abnormal bleedings, body swellings, local pain,
burning and local itching.
